Towie crowd goes Wylde for Best steaks in county!

Towie crowd goes Wylde for Best steaks in county!Wyldecrest Parks  entrepreneur Alife Best is serving up a tasty treat after snapping up the popular Rare Cow steakhouse and bar chain in Essex.

Alfie, 43, bagged  the  two restaurants, which are popular with the cast of The Only Way Is Essex (Towie) after tucking into one of the steaks on a chance visit to an outlet.

Alfie, who runs Wyldecrest mobile home parks, said, ‘I really enjoyed the steak at the Billericay outlet in Jackson’s Lane and just got chatting with Richard Lester the owner.

‘It turned out he was looking to move onto other things so I jumped in quickly.

‘To ensure an easy transition I’m keeping Richard on as a consultant so the business will run smoothly.’

Rare Cow burst onto the scene in April last year and won Essex Restaurant of the Year almost immediately with outlets in Writtle and Billericay.

The chain is popular with ITV’s manufactured reality television series Towie stars and actors like Ricky Rayment, Jessica Wright and Mario Falcone. Other regulars include former EastEnders soap star Billy Murray and pop singer David Van Day.

The secret takeover happened recently for an undisclosed sum. the Rare Cow is famous for its fine meats and its steak challenge, where anybody can attempt to eat a  two kilo steak – one of the largest steaks served in the UK. If successful, guests will not have to pay the £99 charge.

ITV filmed a recent Towie episode there as show star James Argent attempted to tackle the steak challenge.

Outgoing boss Richard Lester said, ‘Alfie has big plans for expansion and he is the man to take the brand forward.’
