£15m allotted for new scheme

£15m allotted for new schemeA whopping £15 million has been allocated for the current financial year to provide for a new ‘deposit on exchange, balance on completion’ part-exchange scheme.

‘Changing market conditions led to the development of this scheme,’ Quick Move Properties’ marketing manager, Donna Houguez, explains. ‘Contrary to the challenges of 12 months ago, when clients were struggling to sell park and leisure homes, the feedback we’re receiving now indicates that the problem is building them fast enough to keep up with demand!

‘While this is a positive thing for the industry, it brings with it some major difficulties. Lead times of up to six months are tough to contend with – dampening customers’ enthusiasm and carrying financial risk for home operators and manufacturers.

‘Providing certainty is the cornerstone of the Quick Move Properties service, and as the market leader, we need to ensure that we are providing our clients with exactly the certainty they need in today’s economy, not for the conditions of a year ago.’

.

The new scheme provides certainty to the park owner so they can order the home, to the manufacturer to so they can build it, and to the customer so they know their sale and purchase will go ahead as planned.

Following the acceptance of an offer, the process could not be simpler or quicker. There is a quick exchange of contracts (in as little as seven days). Then, 10 per cent of the new park home value is paid to the vendor on exchange to enable them to secure it with a deposit. Completion is arranged to match the date of delivery and siting of the new home to allow the customer to make their final payment. Finally, up to two weeks’ free licence is granted to occupy the home to ensure plenty of time for the move if the customer is buying a residential park home.

The scheme is open to all part-exchange clients. For more information, please contact Paul Harding on 01793 840931, email paul.harding@quickmoveproperties.co.uk or visit www.quickmoveproperties.co.uk.
