Devon park sale

Devon park salePicturesque Moor View Touring Park in Modbury, Devon, has just been sold to a new owner. Charles F Jones & Son LLP, now part of international real estate advisor Savills on behalf of a private vendor, has sold the going concern to the operator behind the nearby Thatches Holiday Village. The freehold was offered with vacant possession. Moor View totals 23 acres and can house 64 hard-standing serviced pitches, four grass pitches, 29 lodges and a camping field. In addition, the property includes a private Canadian log cabin.

Richard Prestwich, associate director of leisure and trading services at Savills, commented, ‘Situated in a popular tourist destination in South Devon, close to Bigbury-on-Sea and Burgh Island, Moor View is a prime touring caravan and lodge park with exceptional facilities and unrivalled views. As a result, we received strong interest when marketing the property and are pleased to have secured a sale to an already established local operator.’
