It’s cookery corner time! What’s your favourite winter fare?

Meet Hurbert the Hurley Riverside mascot!

hurley logoAfter receiving 400 entries and months of waiting a Thameside holiday park has revealed the name of its new park mascot.

Hurley Riverside Park, in Maidenhead, Berkshire, asked holiday makers and visitors to the park’s website to suggest a memorable name for its mascot.

Nine-year-old year Sam Goldingay chose the winning name – Hubert -  and selected a Lego City Cargo Terminal toy as his prize. Well done Sam! Hurbert will be popping up around the park and other places throughout 2014. The park’s management have urged visitors to look out for Hubert and revealed that the friendly green figure might even be joined by some friends and family!

Hurleyford Farm is a family-run park on the picturesque south bank of the River Thames, midway between Henley-on-Thames and Marlow. The 109 holiday caravans are set in a level, mature parkland setting surrounded by farmland. The park is reserved for child-free families who wish to own their own holiday home in the country.  Hurleyford Farm is a four-star park and has been the proud holder of a David Bellamy Gold Award for more than 15 years.
