Four more 2014 Road Show eventsLeading park home insurance company reveals details of residents’ events for the coming year.

Towergate Insurance is planning to run four more of its popular park home road shows in 2014.

The company has already run eight events attended by more than 1,200 park home residents.

The road shows make residents aware of changes in park home legislation, give advice and information and answer questions.

Dates confirmed
The first event of 2014, for park home residents in Oxfordshire, Berkshire and Buckinghamshire, will take place on 10th April at Sonning Village Hall, in Wood Lane, Sonning Common, Nr Reading (Sat Nav: RG4 9SL).


There are nearly 6,000 park homes in these counties and residents will receive an invitation to attend.

The event will start at 3pm and finish at 5pm.

So far, speakers confirmed are: Alan Savory MBE, a leading park home campaigner, park home resident and senior advisor to The Independent Park Home Advisory Service (IPHAS); Neil Millar, a park home legal expert with Park Home Legal Services, part of Kirby Sheppard Solicitors, which provides the park home legal advice for policyholders of Towergate; and Sonia McColl, a park home resident who set up the Park Home Owners’ Justice Campaign. Also invited but yet to confirm is Nicola Blackwood, MP for West Oxfordshire and Abingdon.

Then, on 1 May, there will be an event for the park home residents of Devon and Somerset.  

There are more than 5,000 park home residents in these counties and they will all get invites to the road show, which will be held at Willand Village Hall, in Gables Road, Willand, Cullompton (Sat Nav: EX15 2PL).

This event will also begin at 3pm and end at 5pm.

Mr Savory, Mr Millar and Ms McColl will again be on the panel of speakers, while invites have been sent to Cllr Heather Morris, Chair of the Park Homes Forum at Exeter City Council, and Dr Sarah Wollaston, MP for Totnes.

Future events
After this, future events are slated for the park home residents of Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire - the likely date for this event is the 5 June – and Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire & Rutland (scheduled for 4 September).
