National Association of Park Home Residents research help

Can you spare a couple of minutes to help one of the national residents’ associations with a vital piece of research?

Although the proposed new legislation is unlikely to be enacted for a month or so, the national residents’ associations have been looking at how the proposed changes will be implemented ‘on the ground’.

NAPHR (the National Association of Park Home Residents) is currently concerned with one particular aspect involving sales on site. The Bill as currently drafted puts the onus on residents who are selling their homes to ensure that their buyer has a copy of the Agreement/Written Statement and also a copy of the park rules.

Research among some of its membership has indicated to NAPHR that a large number of residents do not have one or either of these documents. So, urgent action is needed to ensure that this matter is dealt with before the Bill goes into law.

So, whether or not you are a member of NAPHR, could you either send an email to NAPHR’s president, Brian Doick, telling him whether or not you have copies of these two very important documents. Don’t forget to include the name and location of your park.

NAPHR has asked us to point out that all the information supplied will be treated in the strictest confidence.

If your park has a residents’ association, your replies can be sent in as a block, provided that participating residents are named. If you are not in a residents’ association and don’t have access to email, you might like to consider asking a neighbour who does to include you on his/her submission.

If you are emailing your response, please send it to: Please remember to state: (a) whether you have a written agreement/statement; and (b) whether you have a copy of your park’s rules. Add your name (and any others on whose behalf you are replying) and the name and location of your park.
