The £5 million facelift

newsHolFaceliftA major facelift at Haulfryn’s Devon Hills Holiday Park in Paignton, which cost £5 million, has resulted in the park being awarded with a five-star quality tourism ranking. The national endorsement is recognition of state-of-the-art improvements at the 62-acre luxury resort in Totnes Road, including 31 brand new lodges, a completely refurbished pub, and a fresh, action-packed activity programme. The five-star status was awarded after a successful visit by inspectors from Quality in Tourism, the assessment service which works on behalf of national tourism board Visit England. Highlights in the inspectors’ report were marks of 100 per cent for park facilities and 96 per cent for cleanliness. Park manager Andrew Mossford commented, “We’ve invested a lot of time and money into improving our guests’ stays by landscaping the grounds, relocating reception to a more convenient spot, and improving our facilities even further. We’re very proud to have gained five-star accreditation at Devon Hills because, as well as these physical changes, we have also nurtured a dedicated team who are enthusiastic and eager to push the park on to reach new standards of excellence.”
