Should park home residents have to pay monthly council tax as well as plot fees?

Back to the future

newsMost of us can remember the electric milk floats that used to serve almost every home in the UK, being quiet enough not to wake up residents. Well, now electric technology for vehicles is back in vogue and even holiday parks are investing in electric trucks.

Susan and Derek Dickson, owners of Lake District holiday park, Park Cliffe, have just invested in an electric truck, explaining: ‘We do a lot of short, stop-start journeys in the Land Rover and it was inefficient. Our son suggested that we look into electric vehicles as an alternative.’

The couple purchased an Alke ATX 210E utility truck from ePower Trucks, one of the UK’s leading independent suppliers of EVs. The vehicle is now deployed in a wide range of applications on the estate, from towing trailer-loads of 47 litre gas cylinders to grounds maintenance and site cleaning.
