Retired couple move into their dream home by the sea with residential park operator Harlland

Retired couple move into their dream home by the sea with residential park operator HarllandLooking out from their new home, Peter and Pauline Carter can see unspoilt beaches and the blue hue of the Irish sea. To the other side of their haven are the mountains and lush green valleys of the Lake District National Park.

Attracting millions of domestic and international visitors each year, the outstanding natural beauty of the Lake District alone might have been enough to draw in the retirees. For the Carters, who were born and bred in the north-west, holiday park operator Harlland was as equally impressive as the surroundings of their new park home.

Former accountant, Peter, said: ‘It was so easy to complete the purchase process. Harlland made it a really smooth process. Pauline and I placed a small deposit and because we bought new, we were able to visit the factory to choose furnishings and fittings, the colour of our carpets and curtains. Once our new home was complete, we were able to move in immediately and we’ve got the peace of mind of a 10-year guarantee, which can be transferred to new owners in the unlikely event of us selling up.
